Thomas Najarian, M.D., a Board Certified Specialist in Internal Medicine, is a graduate of MIT (SB, SM in Mechanical Engineering) and Harvard Medical School.  He is a former faculty member of the Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Najarian was the former Medical Director and Vice-President of Interneuron Pharmaceuticals (now Indevus Pharmaceuticals), a company whose primary focus was the treatment of obesity and obesity related illnesses.

Dr. Najarian is the author of many scientific publications in such journals as The New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, Technology Review, and Circulation.  He is the holder of several U.S. and international patents.  He has 25 years experience in treating obesity and is the discoverer of the treatment used exclusively at The Najarian Center™, Inc.  Many patients have received this treatment, many for longer than 2 years and a few for as long as 5 years.  The treatment has proven to be remarkably safe and effective.
